♪♪ The Violence Prevention Center
or V-P-C works to prevent interpersonal violence, promote
wellness, and provide support to all members of the campus community
that have experienced stalking, harassment, sexual assault and relationship violence. The VPC believes it is possible for Green
River College to be a place where interpersonal violence is not tolerated, and where everyone
in our campus community has the skills and tools to prevent harm. We all have a part
to play in creating a safe and healthy campus community, you can do your part by cultivating
healthy relationships, and knowing what to do if you or your friend needs help. At the VPC you can find a calm safe space
to talk with someone about concerning relationship dynamics, tools to support safety, and the
impact interpersonal violence is having on you or a friend. To make sure everyone on campus has access
to sexual health necessities and menstrual care, the VPC has condoms,
dental dams and pregnancy tests, as well as a variety of menstrual
supplies; all for free. If you would like to join the VPC
in preventing interpersonal violence, fill out the ‘Get Involved’ form
on the VPC website. We are all a part of the Green River College
community, and we have the power to create a safe place where everyone can thrive. ♪♪
