Jimmy Kimmel on Bill Cassidy’s Health “Care” Bill

Jimmy Kimmel on Bill Cassidy’s Health “Care” Bill

HE KNOW YOU’LL FIND THIS HARD TO BELIEVE BUT A FEW MONTHS AGO AFTER MY SON HAD OPEN HEART SURGERY, WHICH WAS SOMETHING I SPOKE ABOUT ON THE AIR, A POLITICIAN, A SENATOR NAMED BILL CASSIDY FROM LOUISIANA, WAS ON MY SHOW AND HE WASN’T VERY HONEST.
IT SEEMED LIKE HE WAS BEING HONEST. HE GOT A LOT OF CREDIT AND ATTENTION FOR COMING OFF LIKE A RARE, REASONABLE VOICE IN THE REPUBLICAN PARTY WHEN IT CAME TO HEALTH CARE. FOR COMING ONE SOMETHING HE CALLED, I DIDN’T NAME IT THIS. HE NAMED IT THIS OF THE TELL JIMMY KIMMEL TEST WHICH WAS IN A NUT SHELL NO, FAMILY SHOULD BE DENIED MEDICAL CARE, EMERGENCY OR OTHERWISE BECAUSE THEY CAN’T AFFORD IT. HE AGREED TO IT. HE SAID HE WOULD ONLY SUPPORT A HEALTH CARE BILL THAT MADE SURE A CHILD LIKE MINE WOULD GET HEALTH COVERAGE HE NEEDS NO, MATTER HOW MUCH MONEY HIS PARENTS MAKE. THAT DID NOT HAVE ANNUAL OR LIFETIME CAPS. THESE INSURANCE COMPANIES WANT LIFETIME CAMS TO LIMIT HOW MUCH THEY HAVE TO PAY OUT. SO FOR INSTANCE IF YOUR SON NEEDS HE HEART SURGERY, IT CAN COST HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS A PIECE. IF HE HITS HIS CAP, HE IS ON HIS OWN. OUR CURRENT PLAN PROTECTS AMERICANS AND PREVENTS INSURANCE PROVIDERS FROM JACKING UP THE RATES FOR PEOPLE WITH PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS OF ALL TYPES.
AND SENATOR CASSIDY SAID HIS PLAN WOULD DO THAT, TOO. HE SAID ALL THIS ON TELEVISION MANY TIMES.>>AS YOU PRESENT THAT, I ASK, DOES IT PASS THE JIMMY KIMMEL TEST?
WITH A CHILD BORN WITH A CONGENITAL HEART DISEASE BE ABLE TO GET EVERYTHING HE WOULD NEED IN THAT FIRST YEAR OF LIFE? I WANT TO IT FAST JIMMY KIMMEL TEST.
>>SO LAST WEEK, BILL CASSIDY AND SENATOR LINDSEY GRAHAM PROPOSE AD NEW BILL AND IT DOES FAST JIMMY KIMMEL TEST. BUT A DIFFERENT TEST. WITH THIS ONE YOUR CHILD WITH A PRE-EXISTING CONDITION WILL GET THE CARE HE NEEDS HE IF AND FOND HIS FATHER IS JIMMY KIMMEL. OTHERWISE YOU MIGHT BE SCREWED. I DON’T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO BILL CASSIDY BUT WHEN HE WAS ON THIS PUBLICITY TOUR, HE LISTED HIS DEMANDS FOR A HEALTH CARE BILL VERY CLEARLY. THESE WERE HIS WORDS. HE SAID HE WANTS COVERAGE FOR ALL.
NO DISCRIMINATION BASED ON PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS. LOWER PREMIUMS FOR LOWER MIDDLE CLASS FAMILIES AND NO LIFETIME CAMS. GUESS WHAT, THE NEW BILL DOES NONE OF THOSE THINGS. COVERAGE FOR ALL? NO.
IN FACT IT WILL KICK ABOUT 30 MILLION AMERICANS OFF INSURANCE. PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS? NO.
IF THE BILL PASSES, INDIVIDUAL STATES CAN LET INSURANCE COMPANIES CHARGE YOU MORE IF YOU HAVE A PRE-EXISTING CONDITION. YOU’LL FIND LITTLE LOOPHOLE LATER ON IN THE DOCUMENT. THEY CAN AND THEY WILL. WILL IT LOWER PREMIUMS? FOR MANY IT WILL RESULT IN HIGHER PREMIUMS. AS FAR AS NO LIFETIME CAPS GO, THE STATES CAN DECIDE ON THAT TOO WHICH MEANS MANY STATES WILL DO THAT. NOT ONLY DID IT FAIL THE JIMMY KIMMEL TEST, HE FAILED THE BILL CASSIDY TEST. HE FAILED HIS OWN TEST. THIS BILL IS WORSE THAN THE ONE THAT THANK GOD, REPUBLICANS LIKE SUSAN COLLINS AND LISA MURKOWSKI AND JOHN McCAIN TORPEDOED OVER THE SUMMER. AND I HOPE THEY HAVE THE GOOD SENSE TO DO THAT. THESE OTHER GUYS WHO CLAIM THEY WANT AMERICANS TO HAVE BETTER HEALTH CARE. EVEN THOUGH EIGHT YEARS AGO THEY DIDN’T WANT THEY WILL TO HAVE HEALTH CARE AT ALL. THEY’RE TRYING TO DO THIS WITHOUT AN NATURAL SFRIS THE BIPARTISAN BUDGET OFFICE. THEY DON’T EVEN WANT YOU TO SEE IT. THEY’RE HAVING ONE HEARING. I READ THE HEARINGS BEING HELD IN A HOMELAND COMMITTEE AND THE CHAIRMAN AGREED TO ALLOW TWO WITNESSES.
BILL CASSIDY IS THAT LINDSEY GRAHAM TO SPEAK. HEALTH CARE IS COMPLICATED. IT IS BORING. I DON’T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT. THE DETAILS ARE CONFUSING AND THAT’S WHAT THEY’RE RELYING ON. THEY’RE COUNTING ON YOU TO BE SO OVERWHELMED.
THAT YOU’LL COUNT THEY WILL TO TAKE CARE OF YOU AND WE’RE LOOKING AT OUR INSTAGRAM ACCOUNTS, LIKING THINGS, WHILE THEY’RE VOTING WHETHER PEOPLE CAN AFFORD TO KEEP THEIR CHILDREN ALIVE. MOST OF THE CONGRESS PEOPLE WHO WILL VOTE THIS PROBABLY WON’T EVEN READ IT. THEY WANT TO US TREAT IT LIKE AN iTUNES SERVICE AGREEMENT. AND THIS GUY BILL CASSIDY LIED RIGHT TO MY FACE.>>>DO YOU BELIEVE EVERY AMERICAN REGARDLESS OF INCOME SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET REGULAR CHECK- CHECK-UPS, MATERNITY CARE, ALL OF THOSE THINGS PEOPLE NEED?>>YES, MA’AM.>>SO YEP WASHINGTON FOR NO.>>I NEVER IMAGINED I WOULD GET INVOLVED IN SOMETHING LIKE THIS. MY AREA OF EXPERTISE IS EATING PIZZA AND THAT’S ABOUT IT. WE CAN’T LET THEY WILL DO IT TO OUR CHILDREN, OUR SENIOR CITIZENS, OUR VETERANS AND ANYTHING ELSE. BEFORE YOU POST A NASTY GRAM, I AM POLITICIZING MY SON’S HEALTH PROBLEMS BECAUSE I HAVE TO. [ CHEERS AND APPLAUSE ] MY FAMILY HAS HEALTH INSURANCE. WE DON’T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THIS.
BUT OTHER PEOPLE DO. SO YOU CAN SHOVE YOUR DISGUSTING COMMENTS WHERE YOUR DOCTOR WON’T BE GIVING YOU A PROSTATE EXAM ONCE THEY TAKE YOUR HEALTH CARE BENEFITS AWAY. SOMEHOW JAPAN, ENGLAND, CANADA, GERMANY, FRANCE, THEY ALL FIGURED OUT HEALTH CARE OUT. DON’T SAY THEY HAVE TERRIBLE HEALTH CARE. IT’S JUST NOT TRUE. HERE ARE JUST SOME OF THE PORTIONS OPPOSE THIS GRAHAM/CASSIDY BILL. THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY. THE AMERICAN DIABETES ASSOCIATION. AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION. AMERICAN LUNG ASSOCIATION. THE ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION. CYSTIC FIBROSIS, THE ALS ASSOCIATION, THE MARCH OF DIMES, MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS SOCIETY. ANYTHING YOU’VE EVER GIVEN MONEY TO THINKS THIS IS A BAD IDEA. DO YOU TRUST THEY WILL OR DO YOU TRUST HIM? OKAY. SO IF THIS BILL ISN’T GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU, CALL YOUR CONGRESS PERSON. THAT’S THE NUMBER. TO GO YOUR CONGRESS PERSON, WHEREVER HE OR SHE IS. YOU HAVE TO DO THIS. YOU CAN’T JUST CLICK LIKE ON THIS VIDEO. TELL THEY WILL THE BILL DOESN’T PASS YOUR TEST. NOBODY OUTSIDE OF YOUR BUDDIES IN CONGRESS WANTS THIS BILL OFTEN 12% OF AMERICANS SUPPORTED THE LAST ONE AND THIS ONE IS WORSE.
RIGHT NOW THERE’S A BIPARTISAN GROOF OF SENATORS WORKING TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH CARE SYSTEM WE HAVE. WE WANT QUALITY AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE. DOZENS OF OTHER COUNTRIES FIGURED IT OUT. SO ENSTEAD OF JAMMING THIS HORRIBLE BILL DOWN OUR THROATS, GO PITCH IN AND BE A PART OF IT. I’M SURE THEY COULD USE A GUY WITH YOUR MEDICAL BACK GROUND. IF NOT, STOP USING MY NAME. I DON’T WANT MY NAME ON IT. THERE IS A NEW JIMMY KIMMEL TEST.
IT IS CALLED A LIE DETECTOR TEST.

  1. I'm very glad to see you standing up for heath care in your country. Being a Canadian, I can't ever imagine stressing about getting sick let alone having to carry the burden of a child with a condition. Your country is great. It doesn't have to be great again. It just has to grow up. We love you guys and gals and all the letters I can't remember at this time. . You got this!

  2. Thank you Jimmy for speaking out. Can't stand these corrupt politicians, so desperate to pass this they'll say and do anything.

  3. The Cassidy Bill is actually an improvement on the ACA. Maybe Jimmy could actually compare the two in his next monologue.

  4. It appears to me that people that are for this bill clearly in the pocket of corporate healthcare (or don't like the name Obamacare) which does not hold the same ethical standards as its nurses and doctors who practice. Corporate healthcare cares only about increasing its "earnings" (not profits), so people at the top can get their bonuses. That is what drives rising costs. They provide a minimum of free services, so they can say, "We are not for profit. They have gone as far as to incorporate streamlining system from auto manufactures to do so. The problem with that is people are not cars, and can not if it into one mold. I am sure that Jimmy would have no problem paying for his child's treatment out of his pocket if it weren't for the fact that he has insurance. I am someone who blessed enough to have coverage, and has a family in good health. Thank you Jimmy for having the empathy to speaking up for those who don't have your voice.

  5. Mr. Kimmel a brilliant monologue! Let us not forget, not a single trump voter will be affected by this new bill and pigs will fly!!!

  6. I love you Jimmy….I guess when your in a hospital with parents balling and freaking out because they cant pay for their newborns healthcare it'll give you perspective… Too bad Fox and the Republicans haven't grown a heart yet

  7. Why is this even a political issue…? They're treating health care like it's a privilege. It's NOT. It is a RIGHT! The US government is severely lacking in common sense.

  8. when your a celebrity its adios reality,…..and no publicity is bad publicity. Trump fires anyone who does not comply with his version of America. And thats what the majority voted for, pretty scary.

  9. My son was born with a congenital heart defect like your son and had to have open heart surgery I pray he doesn’t need anymore but if he does I just want him to have coverage thank you jimmy 💕

  10. The irony of it is that the people who rely on government-funded systems the most are those among blood-red states that voted to support this. Natural selection must be really trying right now.

  11. What Jimmy Kimmel May Not Know About The Healthcare Bill

Posted By Kristan Hawkins On 3:41 PM 09/25/2017

Every time that a new health care reform bill is introduced, it causes panic. Newly-minted health care expert Jimmy Kimmel, who has previously mocked Obamacare’s failures, quickly rushes in to denounce any attempt to move away from Obamacare. I feel for Kimmel’s concerns for sure, which is why I support Graham-Cassidy. When it comes to repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act, the hyperbole usually varies from, “This will destroy people’s lives,” on one side, to “This doesn’t go nearly far enough,” on the other side of the issue. Meanwhile many Americans just ignore the pundits and scare tactics coming from Washington as they are relatively healthy with few health concerns. For me, that is not the case.

I am the mother of four children who are my world, inspiring me to fight for their future every day of my life. However, what really separates me from many other people is that two of my children, Gunner and Gracie, have Cystic Fibrosis (CF). CF is a deadly disease, which currently has a median age expectancy of 37 years, and requires daily, time-consuming and expensive medical care. It only affects about 30,000 Americans, and, currently, there is no cure. So for a middle-income family such as mine, any change in healthcare could result in reduced coverage, thousands in medical bills, and delays in the treatments and medicines that Gunner and Gracie need.

Last week, following the introduction of the Graham-Cassidy-Heller-Johnson healthcare reform bill, several rare disease associations sent out several alerts opposing the bill and supporting Obamacare. As someone who faces this cystic fibrosis daily, I needed to know why these groups were supporting Obamacare, which is imploding, unsustainable, and already leading our nation towards a single-payer healthcare system.

What is clear is that single-payer systems are not the solution, especially when every day matters and yearlong delays in single-payer systems are common as government entitles and pharmaceutical companies haggle over the price of life-extending drugs.

Just ask those who suffer from cystic fibrosis in the UK, who have been waiting since 2015 for their government to approve Orkambi, which researchers believe could add a decade onto CF life expectancies. My son, Gunner, has been on the drug for more than a year already. We’ve already seen significant improvements, delaying the vicious plans cystic fibrosis has for wrecking his body.

Advocates of the ACA like to say that those who push for this reform bill don’t understand what it is like to face the hard decisions that having a pre-existing condition requires each day. It’s not true for me, nor of one of this plan’s chief authors, Senator Rick Santorum.

Like me, Senator Santorum has a daughter, Bella, who has a rare, genetic disorder that leads to high medical and prescription bills. So why would he write a bill that would hurt his family and those with pre-existing conditions, a bill that (if the other side’s hype is to be believed) would lead to the denial of coverage for those with pre-existing conditions?

The simple answer is that he wouldn’t, and he didn’t. The Graham-Cassidy bill does not eliminate Title 1 of the Affordable Care Act. In fact, it can’t. What it does is allow a state to apply for a waiver that would exempt it from Title 1. In order for this waiver to be granted, the state though must certify that affordable, stable insurance options are available to those with pre-existing conditions. Simply put, states are required to cover those with a pre-existing condition, but we give them the flexibility outside of a mandate, to do this task.

And the best part of giving states control of how healthcare is managed is that real changes can be created. If my home state of Minnesota passes plans that fail to cover my children and their needs, you can bet your bottom dollar I’ll be personally knocking on the doors of my state legislators. I’ll be lobbying in St. Paul. I’ll be contacting the local press. I won’t simply be a number calling into the D.C. office of my U.S. Senators who will never hear my concerns. I’ll take it right to the decision makers.

Some argue that this bill would destroy Medicaid, which would lead to millions of people losing their heath care. In fact, this bill would put Medicaid on a sustainable path that would continue to rise with inflation. In introducing his extremist “Medicaid for All” plan, Senator Bernie Sanders said that the best way to lower health care costs was to make people go through the government. If he were right, then it should not take an extraordinary hike in Medicaid spending each year to cover his plan. Raising Medicaid spending based on inflation should be more than enough to cover the people it needs to cover. So why are liberals against this plan but for “Medicaid for All?”

Two words are the answer to that question: Trump and abortion. If Graham-Cassidy passes, President Trump will cement his legacy as President. If he can’t, then realistically Americans are stuck with the ACA forever or at least until we’re broke and no more money can be printed to pay for it all. And Sanders’ plan would give government money directly to the abortion industry while the Graham-Cassidy bill would defund Planned Parenthood and protect the rights of the pre-born.

Is this bill perfect? No, but when comparing this bill to the travesty that is the Obamacare status quo and the disastrous financial trajectory it has put our nation on, there really is no choice. And by allowing states a hand in addressing where healthcare spending is invested, the choice to invest in life-affirming providers rather than the nation’s number one abortion provider is long overdue.

  12. Jimmy Kimmel is nothing but a liberal hack getting his talking points from Chuck schumer Nothing more than a deceitful man but what do you expect from a guy that Cheated on his wife

  13. The reason Healthcare continues to be such a considerable fight is that those who are currently receiving profits will see those dollars disappear.
Why can't the USA make the effort to call Canada and ask how it's done. In Canada, every individual who lives in the country NEVER sees an invoice for medical attention, no matter the amount or the number of times medical is required. I spent a week in a coma on life support and NEVER once saw the need for "amount due". As much as Canada's system is volunteered as bad that information is incorrect.

  14. Come to South Korea. We do have health care insurance that covers a lot. Korean medical fare is much more affordable than US(even to foreigners) and I'm sure we do have good skilled doctors.

  15. Thanks for reciting Chuck Schumer's talking points. Not a word on the huge cost of conmen lawyers making 50% fees on bogus lawsuits and the rest of of us pay for it with skyhigh costs. You are a complete Hollywood phony. I am happy your son is ok and hope his future surgeries go well. Btw you should try Obamacare it sucks.

  16. If I recall correctly republicans and some democrats used this sort of question against Bernie Sanders during his campaign. Why should you pay for your neighbors healthcare when he or she has to go to the often due to some type of illness and you only go fir your checkups. First off those are not the exact words but roll with it, now let me explain how national free healthcare works. 1 its not free its paid for through your taxes. 2 its to ensure everybody has the ability to see a doc reguardless of the pre existing conditions or financial state. 3. Think of it as like paying taxes for our police, firefighters, paramedics, etc etc. Ok its there in case you may need it someday. Think of this you are more inclined to need and use healthcare than having to call the police or firefighters and if you need to call paramedics than you may want healthcare while your at it right. I do have a question is stupid and idiocy a pre existing condition cause if so than these politicians healthcare must be through the roof, just saying.

  17. Jimmy you aren't even funny i dont know why anyone watch's your show it's like watching the view its terible all you do is bash the President of the united states of america. Shame on you. If Hillary won the Presidency do you think it would really be better? Maybe the Republicans need to start crying everytime a Obama gets in office

  18. I use to love your show Jimmy. It was my favorite show because you mostly stayed away from political battles.
No longer are late night shows for normal people to enjoy a great and normally comedic intro and great guest interviews.
You have given in like all the others. I'm disappointed in you for not getting all the facts and for now adding politics.

  19. Your only option in this world is to take your own health in to your own hands and take care of yourself because these control snakes 🐍 will never stop coming for you from every angle.

  20. You're an idiot Kimmel … You have no scruples running your mouth about healthcare … what about the millions of middle Americans who lost great plans to be shoved into plans we can't afford now? I guess we don't count! Kimmel you're an @$$hole! An $8000.00 a year deductible might not be nothing for you Kimmel but its a years mortgage payment for a most of us!

  21. We have socialised health care in America, it's called medicare/medic-aid. We have great social programs in America despite Obama care and all these lefty shills saying we don't. Jimmy… why do you hate America so much? Oh wait, it's the pay check.

  22. You guys can all jack off to how moral you are or whatever, but you do not have the god given right to live at somebody else's expense. This is the very definition of parasitism, taking the resources of something else by force to sustain yourself. If you need some medication and get it funded by tax payer money, I see you as no better than a man mugging people on the streets for that money. You're just adding in a middleman. This parasitic attitude is what has crippled our economy, the smart people are going to get around it for as long as possible and prepare for the inevitable collapse and you'll be stuck with the bill. We'll actually move somewhere where we aren't robbed unlike you who say you will leave over Trump and never do. Then after this, there will be no more people investing in America and jobs will dry up way more than they have already and you'll be impoverished while we've moved on to greater things.

  23. Thank you, Jimmy for being the voice of morality in America. Now search "Jimmy Kimmel Guess What's In My Pants" to see something that will make Harvey Weinstein say "What the …?!?!?!"

  24. thats the thing why i would never want to live in the U.S. … health can change so fast and it can ruin you financially, so that you have to decide to rescue yourself and beeing homeless after that or stay at home and maybe die or live in pain.

For that im proud of my country (Germany) to provide us with such a good healthcare system even if you are unemployed. nobody needs to suffer here !

  25. Why can’t America just have a sum of tax go towards healthcare such as in England, that way the amount of people that live there that pay tax would have enough money for every type of healthcare and surgery

  26. I really hope that Jimmy Kimmel gets this comment.. I create and have written 4 laws and one of my laws was a first in the Nation.. I have also done both local and National News for over 20 years. It is so sad, that I find most politicians are not too swift when it comes to Laws in general.. My sister was murdered and I found laws so antiquated that it would make your head spin… On Healthcare and especially the story regarding your baby boy, Yes, there is free or reduced healthcare for all in this country, named the Ash Hillburton Act passed in World War 2 and revised in the seventies.. Over 90 percent of hospitals are non profits.. I hope that you read this comment Mr. Kimmel… You can get in touch with me through my email.. [email protected]

  27. This healthcare Law that has been on the Federal and all states is called the Ash Hillburton Act.. which gives free or reduced healthcare for all… It was revised in the seventies…Again, if you would like more information on this and to bring this to light Mr. Kimmel, please contact me.. thanks Denise…www.facebook.com/blackwaterwoman or by email [email protected] This Law is intact and has been on the books since World War 2.. and why doesn't anyone in poltics mention this? because most of them never do their homework or actually want to put more money into their pockets by insurance lobbyists.. I've dealt with most polticians, and that's the way it goes.. However, it is a Law…and Laws are there for US citizens, whether rich or poor…

  28. Wonderful he is using his platform to try and create actual positive change. I applaud and appreciate his very noble efforts

  29. The funniest part is when he started listing all the "NGO"s that have been bought by Big Pharma and asked if we trusted them. Lol. Um, no, no we don't. They are often the most crooked of all.

  30. I'm happy Jimmy got involved! This subject really needs to be spoken about more. For years I've heard about the free health care people get in other countries (I don't hear their citizens going into bankruptcy for needing surgery). It's also curious how we hear very little about the healthcare systems in Canada, France, and Japan in the United States.
I was even more surprised by other Americans who did NOT want universal health care; they didn't believe that this type of system could exist. They actually placed the blame on the patient that was diagnosed with some horrible disease; diseases that their doctors have said were not brought on by the patients themselves. I guess we just have to cross our fingers and hope to never get sick and to just trust whatever health insurance and what their puppet politicians tell us.

  31. How can the greatest, most amazing country in the world not work this out?
Come on America. I'm from Australia and universal health care is supported by both sides of politics here. I don't have to worry about whether or not I can afford health care. Show us that you are truly making America great again.

  32. My nephew was diagnosed with Leukemia and was covered by his father's health insurance. We found out about a "catastrophic illness cap" in his hospital room while everyone was being tested for a bone marrow match! Yes, they DID have a cap….anyone wanna guess what his amount was??! $250,000!!! Anyone care to guess how long it was going to take to burn through that?! 2 months! Shameful!!

  33. My two cents, because the constitution says I'm allowed to have one.. Unless there is a loophole in there to that says I'm not allowed freedom of speech. For one, capitalism will bury the United States in turmoil, loitering, economic oppression and political corruption. Money has become the metrics in which we examine the value of one's soul. Don't have enough money? Sorry, you're a terrible person because you don't have enough money to feed yourself, possibly feed your offspring(s), take care of the elderly. Understand this, Goverment. With less money in the pockets of those in misfortune only brings about more misfortune. Economic instability spreads. The wellbeing of one can only go so far. The wellbeing of many can Institute and bring about prosperity. The 1% has all the money, and then some somewhere overseas, while the rest of society crumbles under the pressure we simply can't handle because there isn't enough resources. Capitalism is blind, and I am a victim to its evils. But my dollars, if I am able too, will help those who need it as long as they prove to me they need it. Guess the Goverment isn't too much to blame for this dystopia. The ignorant beings on Instagram liking themselves to sleep are the ones letting the rich get richer and themselves get poorer. LET'S DO SOMETHING TO FIGHT THE SYSTEM! Let's share ideas as to how we, society, the people, of all color, can fix this! Let's stop the segregation, the corruption, the oppression. It's time for change… before it's too late, because there will be a moment where it is simply too late.

  34. It honestly baffles me that many Americans go bankrupt due to medical costs. I’m from the UK and though our healthcare does have flaws, I have yet to hear of anyone going bankrupt by having to pay for their medical bills. I hope they can sort it out soon.

  35. Look Jimmy. your stupid solution of healthcare for everyone is a fantasy. I am from Canada and nothing is free. My parents both work hard as blue collars and they end up paying about 40% + in taxes. You can't even go into a walk in clinic on weekends. You wait months-years to see a specialist. Private healthcare is much better. When someone pays you out of pocket, you have motivation to help more people b/c the more pts you see, the more you make. Unlike the your demoncrat socliaism who have a cap on hm they make. u do less work and see fewer pts and results in inferior pt care. PRIVATE IS THE WAY TO GO . And plus…just eat an apple a day right? idiot

  36. In Denmark healthcare is paid by our taxes. And we get medical treatment for free, no matter what your condition might be

  37. Dont take your word for it? What about every single Canadian that's become an American because they'd die in line for "free health care" but dont take my word for it. Clearly all the Canadians have the golden ticket. Jimmy do you even do comedy anymore? Oh that's right after disrespecting women for years prior to your new leaf turn of 2018 you basically became JNN.

  38. My cousin lives abroad and we discussed this. Free healthcare is not a good idea, countries have this and it lowers the quality of care you receive significantly. Taxes would raise and take away half your income (funny how we call it free). A competitive healthcare market (our current US market is heavily regulated) is honestly the best solution. I understand a lot of you might not understand basic fundamental economics so let me say this, competition is better in every way than raising taxes for the consumer, higher quality for lower cost.

  39. God bless you Jimmy. You standing up for people unable to afford decent health care…..is a very Christian thing to do😍

  40. Americans : we can’t do a single payer system because unemployment is too high

Also Americans : TRUMP IS THE BEST LOWEST UNEMPLOYMENT EVER !!

Well… which is it? Is unemployment higher or lower or are you all just getting shafted by your elitist government.

Sincerely, proud member of the U.K.

  41. Jimmy Kimmel you are the best they all liar guess what they gave me 2.8% raise to my Social Security LOL I don’t know what Government generosity to Señor😂🤣🌹🌷🌺🥰🥰🙏🏻🙏🏻

  42. Jimmy dumb bell Does not work in the medical field or sciences nor does he have experience with in these fields but yet he talks like he’s an expert all he is is just a big mouth for this socialist democratic syndicate which is trying to destroy America They support foreign people from foreign countries more than they do the citizens who develop this nation and became a nation none of these foreigners support anything here they just hate the people that already exist here

  43. I don’t hear Jimmy Kimble or any of the socialist Democrats ever speak up on the American Indians I’ve been here longer than anybody has in there at all for a stupid ass corners you just come here and take take take take because I got nothing to give
