Asset Management for Hospitals – Shrink Prevention- RTLS | HIMSS18 | STANLEY Healthcare

I’m Wendy Werblin I’m the director of
healthcare solutions for IMPINJ. Working with Stanley we are really
looking at sets of use cases around asset management and in the future
you know potentially looking at things around patient workflow as well. In the
asset management area we’re looking at things like shrink prevention, so
the laundry chutes and trash chutes that we talked about we’re looking at helping
to understand loss out of other key exit areas, so when
does a device actually wind up going out an
exit, maybe because it’s leaving with a patient on an ambulance for
transport being able to get that device back knowing who and
knowing when it left and being able to get it back is really important.
The inventory functionality, being able to
look at things like PAR level management, so understanding how many devices are in your clean utility and how many are in your soiled
utility and being able to automatically get notifications when you need more or
when there’s a device that needs to get picked up for cleaning or for
maintenance saves a lot of time and energy. On the patient workflow side we’ll be able to look at things like automated patient exit so helping
institutions understand when did patients really leave versus
when they might be flagged for discharge in their system record and
there’s lots of other things in our road map to come
