A New Way to Treat Gynecomastia

– Joining us today,
Michael, his mother, Beth. And I want to take a quick
look at Michael’s before. And let’s now look at his after picture, side by side, because Michael
had such a great result. (audience applause) We’re also joined by his
physician, Dr. Dennis Hurwitz. – [Drew] Welcome back, Dennis. – Michael, how are you feeling? ‘Cause you look great, my friend. – Um, I’m feeling absolutely amazing. (audience applause) I have so much more confidence. I want to wear T-shirts out everywhere. Even though it’s cold where I’m at, I’m getting into so much more fitness. I’m just so happy about
myself and who I am now. I love myself. (audience applause) – I think we saw in the video
that Dr. Hurwitz has done this once or twice before, but I see, Dennis, that you did a little extra
too there, didn’t you? – Well yeah, Drew, it’s all about sculpturing the body and
smooth everything down, reduce him down so he’s
consistently nice pattern. That’s a good lookin’ man. (audience applause) – And your technique, Dr.
Hurwitz, what you did, you used, because you knew
that you were going to have excess skin, because of
the size of his chest, and instead of placing more incisions, leaving him with scars on the chest, you were able to shrink the
skin with a new technology. – That’s absolutely right. Using Body Tight By
InMode, we’re able to apply radio frequency energy
in a controlled manner. That’s a critical part,
controlled reproducible manner, no burns, we can melt the
fat, tighten the skin, so when he’s left, he
doesn’t need those big scars. There’s actually no
visible scars on his body, and we reshaped everything. (audience applause) – Well the result is so wonderful. Mike, you mentioned
getting now into health. I understand there’s
one little area, though where you’re struggling. – Yeah. – Talk to us. – I still smoke. I really want to quit. It’s a issue with me. – Tonya, I think you have
something you’d like to share. – So, Doctor on Demand
offers a comprehensive smoking cessation program,
so we’re going to give you three months where you’re going to connect with a board certified physician. We’re going to talk about behavioral and lifestyle changes, hook you up with a therapist as well, and prescribe you
medicines if you need it. So that’s my gift to you. – Thank you so much, thank you. – Michael, Rivals Fitness
in Youngstown, Ohio they’re going to provide you
with a year long gym membership and 40 personal training sessions. (audience applause) – Thank you, thank you. – Also, a meal delivery
service, Terra’s Kitchen, they’re going to give you three months of meals as well as
nutritional counseling. These pre-prepped meals are going to be delivered to your doorstep
with a weight loss plan. This is really all about
your future, my friend. – Thank you. – [Travis] What are you feeling? – Amazing. (audience applause) – Well, Kristi, I know
you as the breast surgeon, the oncologic breast surgeon that you wanted to make a comment. – Men do come in with masses, and we hope it’s gynecomasty, and often times certain medications will cause it. Prostate cancer medications and steroids, testosterone are the most
common, and marijuana, it’s ’cause it’s an estrogen so it stimulates that breast tissue. But I want to warn people
not to dismiss things as benign male breasts, because
men do get breast cancer. Breast cancer in men accounts
for 1% of all breast cancers. There are approximately
2,140 men per year diagnosed and it’s often later stage because they dismiss it as a possibility. – And that’s why we always
say you can’t get help if you don’t acknowledge the problem. So if you’re worried about
it, seek medical advice. Michael, we’re so happy for you.
